Brahms Requiem

Far from a traditional requiem, Brahms’ work is a comforting embrace—focusing not on the dead, but on the living who mourn. Complementing this powerful journey is Eleanor Daley’s poignant In Remembrance, a contemporary choral gem that speaks tenderly of memory, love, and the enduring spirit, and Jessie Montgomery’s Starburst, a dazzling and energetic work for string orchestra that captures the brilliance and motion of new beginnings. Together, these works create a moving meditation on grief and grace, guiding listeners through sorrow into light.
