Vesper Chorale

Founded in 1993, Vesper Chorale began as a sacred music ensemble with a strong educational mission, partnering with schools and churches to provide professional-level choral experiences. Over time, it expanded its repertoire and outreach, notably launching the Diverse Journeys concert series in 2008 to collaborate with ethnic communities. Highlights include performances of Donald McCullough’s Holocaust Cantata (broadcast on PBS and award-nominated), partnerships with African-American and Latino communities, and the Midwestern premiere of Melissa Dunphy’s work honoring women’s suffrage in 2022. In 2019, members performed Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Dona nobis pacem at Carnegie Hall. Vesper Chorale has been honored with multiple arts and community awards and marked its 25th anniversary in 2018 with the retirement of founding director Wishart Bell. Now in its 32nd season, and led by current Artistic Director Jeshua Franklin, it continues to perform sacred, oratorio, and socially conscious music.
Children's Choir of Michiana

The Children’s Choir of Michiana, now in its 22nd season, is dedicated to inclusive music education. It has toured Washington, D.C., New York’s Carnegie Hall, and Costa Rica, and has performed with Vesper Chorale and Orchestra. Though the choir has varied in scope and size, it remains a vital part of the regional arts community, emphasizing diversity and accessibility in children’s choral music.
